Social Innovation Conference Summary. Belfast (3rd and 4th of October 2019)Communication
As part of the Atlantic Social Lab, Enterprise North West organized and facilitated a group of social change actors and influencers to attend the conference and to partake in the overall session as well as the workshop sessions during the days. This group represented the only attendees from the North West of NI.

Workshop Report: Social Innovation and the role of State. Coimbra 9th May 2019Communication
The workshop titled "SOCIAL INNOVATION AND THE ROLE OF STATE" was held in the afternoon of May 9, in room 1 of CES Alta in Coimbra. It was attended by about 50 people, including keynote speakers, who represented organizations of the quadruple helix, such as, governance bodies, universities, companies or third sector organisations.
The main objectives of the workshop were sharing knowledge about social innovation; exploring the impact of social innovation initiatives in Europe; discussing the link between social innovation, State and public management; promoting social innovation as a driving force for a new and improved public management; presenting the ASL project main results and promote networking and cooperation for future projects of social innovation.
The Final report document has been prepared by Carla Nogueira, Hugo Pinto, Ana Filipa Sá & Fábio Sampaio in the framework of WP6 Atlantic Social Innovation .Observatory.

We are an EU funded project which promotes the use of social innovation to address key societal challenges. The project involves 9 partners from across the UK, Spain, Portugal, France and Ireland. Cork City Council is the Irish partner and in Cork we are focused on using social innovation to address issues being faced by social enterprises and look at innovative ways of stimulating civic engagement in the city. This Newsletter will keep you up to date on all our activities in Cork. -
