Pilot actions contracts awarded for the delivery of the upcoming Design Thinking - Innovation Lab

Enterprise North West are now able to progress with the planned Design Thinking - Innovation Lab and Green Inclusive & Circular Economy Technology Projects, starting in September this year having awarded the delivery of the contracts.

As part of the Design Thinking - Innovation Lab project the delivery agent will work with the North West Regional College, Derry campus to delivery a series of Design Thinking workshops to students from the College to address local social challenges that affect young people within the North West. This will introduce a series of innovative concepts and methodologies that the students can then implement within their local communities, courses and careers.

The Green Inclusive & Circular Economy Technology Project will work with students and teachers from St Brigids College, Carnhill and Oakgrove Integrated College to explore a new approach to the education and awareness around the green & circular economy. This will involve partnership working with Derry City and Strabane District Council’s recycling department and the 4Rs Recycling social enterprise to explore the use of technology as a medium to create further awareness of the green and circular economy in Derry City, which currently has one of the lowest recycling rates in NI.
