Inspired by the Atlantic Social Lab project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INTERREG Atlantic Area Cooperation Program (EAPA_246/2016), the 25th APDR workshop Social Innovation Towards Sustainability: Embracing Contemporary Challenges for Regional Development aims to discuss the state of the art of social innovation and the contemporary challenge for sustainability.

Over the coming weeks and months Cork City Council will be organising webinars and one to one Virtual Coffees which will give social enterprises the opportunity for mentoring and guidance on developing their businesses in these challenging times. The Atlantic Social Lab project in Cork has just released their animation video which promotes civic engagement in the city.
This video talks about how the city is growing and gives viewers an overview of the different types of plans which are developed and how to have their say in shaping the kind of Cork they would like to live in.

The Atlantic Social Lab project in Cork with the financial support of the Social Economic and Environmental Programme as part of the City North West Quarter Regeneration, held an “Ask & Advise Evening” for Social Enterprises in the Glandore Workspace on Lapps Quay in Cork on the 5th of March 2020.

Tue, 03/03/2020 - 10:19 Tech for Good project launched by Enterprise North West in partnership with Lisneal College and Kippie CIC (Derry).
The Social Technology Project was recently launched and involves an exciting new student-led programme that helps schools to explore solutions to social issues through the use of technology. The new programme aims to develop and promote creative thinking around local social issues for young people which will then be transferred into a app or game. The project has been launched this week by Enterprise North West in partnership with Lisneal College and Kippie CIC.
