The European Commission launches the 2023 edition of the Access City Award competition. The aim of this initiative is to reward cities that demonstrate best practice in breaking down barriers for people with disabilities.

There are cash prizes for the first three winners.

All EU cities of over 50 000 inhabitants and 
urban areas composed of two or more towns with a combined population of over 50 000 inhabitants, if they are in EU countries with fewer than 2 cities with over 50 000 inhabitants.

Applications are open until 8 September 2022 at 23:59 CEST.
