Santiago Council to visit Rennes

Councillor of Treasury María Rozas will be present at the fourth coordination meeting of the Atlantic Social Lab project, of which the Council of Santiago de Compostela is a member.

Activities of the city council of Santiago de Compostela planned as part of the European project include two pilot initiatives being developed by the budget committee for a total of 30,000 euros which aim to promote citizen participation in public spaces contributing to the design of the city's 2019 budget. Both pilot projects are currently in the design and hiring stage at the council's treasury office.

The purpose of the coordination meeting in Rennes (France) which will take place between the 2nd and 4th of July, 2018 is to coordinate with the other European partners regarding the activities planned in each social entity in the project, and to exchange experience and good practices with a view to improving social participation in public policy. The Santiago de Compostela city council will be working closely with Cork City Council (Ireland) and the Ave Intermunicipal Community (Portugal).
