Atlantic Social Lab presents a multi-level analysis on social needs in the Atlantic Area. During the last year the project was surveying and analysing social needs in Atlantic Area regions. In this way, it was possible to understand what are the most urgent social needs, as well as possible pilot actions for social innovation that could meet these needs.

Social innovation is the central theme of the Atlantic Social Lab (ASL) project in which the Centre for Social Studies participates. During the last year the project was surveying and analysing social needs in Atlantic Area regions. In this way, it was possible to understand what are the most urgent social needs, as well as possible pilot actions for social innovation that could meet these needs.

On Monday 19 November Glasgow Caledonian University ran a workshop entitled "The emergence of social innovation in social enterprise" attended by representatives from the Scottish social enterprise sector. The group heard recent findings from the GCU team's research on social innovation and participated in a discussion about how social innovation evolves within organisations.

Thu, 11/29/2018 - 17:03 Cork held a “Funding for Social Enterprises” Workshop
The Atlantic Social Lab project in Cork held a “Funding for Social Enterprises” Workshop in the Republic of Work, Cork on the 20th of November 2018.
This event focused on the different funding opportunities for Social Enterprises. Social Innovation Fund Ireland provided the two key speakers including John Evoy and Padraic Vallely who detailed the different funding programmes available and looked at the processes involved in applying for these funds. They also gave participants some top tips for applying for these funds.
